Inspiration: James has returned
from a brief breakation and James explains the
breakation concept to listeners. James and
Charles talk about how it can sometimes be
difficult to explain how they make their living
online. James likes the ability to just pick up
and go when he wants to he enjoys the freedom of
being able to work from anywhere in the world.
The industry has matured a great deal in the
last few years. James talks about a Newsweek
article he read about Google and the companies
which are afraid of Google. Google currently has
11 billion dollars in cash and investments on
hand. Nearly 400 million people every month
access Google every month. Google AdSense
publishers earned 3 billion dollars last year.
57% of all searches are now done through Google.
James and Charles talk about the difference
between Google AdSense revenue and merchant
commissions paid by affiliates merchants. James
has some sites which don’t even have merchants
but are Google ad based only and there are other
sites like
AskTheBuilder.com
or
PlentyOfFish.com
which are entirely supported by AdSense revenue.
James talks about the Google Webmaster Tools and
what they are capable of doing. James and
Charles talk about the waste of advertising
dollars in traditional mainstream media. James
lets us know that his upcoming online night
school is completely sold out.
