Cobra Video Index Below

Production Notes by Charles Johnston: The following clips were developed as part of a commemorative DVD intended solely for in home viewing by the Martell's family and friends. Because of this some clips include recorded music for added effect.  The FREE RealPlayer is necessary to play media.

IMPORTANT Notes from James: Because these videos were originally intended only for private viewing, Charles took the liberty of dubbing in a few of my favourite tunes.  So please do not post these links.  (Especially my affiliates) In any case, these videos will be streaming off the Net for a limited time only.  Enjoy!

1) Birth of Shelby Number TWO: This touching clip shows James rousing his family out of bed at "three in the morning", so they could all witness the "birth" of another Shelby. A James and Arlene favourite tune serenades the moment. (hankies might be needed)

2) Cobra Dreams Coming True: Here we see shots of James getting his "baby" ready for the party. Also includes shots from a "Cobra Run" in Las Vegas. The background song is a Martell favourite first heard on their trip to Maui. It'll bring back memories to last a lifetime.

3) Daughter Shelby Intro: After graciously thanking the many guests to his Cobra Party, held at the Hazelmere Golf and Country Club in Surrey BC Canada on February 4th., James introduces us to his daughter Shelby. A wonderful moment for all.

4) Cobra Party Unveiling: Although the lighting was poor, I think most viewers will get a sense of the excitement, as James leads us to the patio for the Cobra's official unveiling. A little "car" music adds flavour.

5) Jimmy Makes Us Laugh: Jimmy Souza, is a professional comedian and family friend who delighted us with his typically American "east coast" sense of humour. Here is 6 minutes of Jimmy at his hilarious best. (slight technical glitches)

6) Living On Dreams With Colin Wiebe: Although ten minutes in length, this video is a "must view" if you want to get the sense of what James' Cobra really means. Here you'll see excerpts from Colin Wiebes' musical performance, where he sings the title song from one of his CD's, and pokes fun at James' Cobra with a song he "made up" at the event. Of course, he also "wowed" us with Guess Who and Randy Bachman hits. In addition to being a personal friend of the Martell's, Colin is a successful recording artist. www.colinarthur.com (this clip also has a few minor technical glitches, which hopefully won't detract too much from the emotions being felt)

7) Dancing Up A Storm: No party would be complete without dancing. Here you'll get a brief glimpse of the locals kicking-up-a-storm and shaking-that-booty-down. You'll even see The "Jamester" -- Cobra cap and all -- dancing with little Victoria. We also got shots of Justin Martell and Company doing some line dancing. Cool!
