co-workers laughed and said I couldn't compete with the
whiz-bang kids on the Internet. But I went for it and got
the book and the rest is just ridiculous history for Betty

quality and by far the best and most extensive I
have ever seen and/or heard. I am really, really
impressed and also very much in need of something
like this. I have ordered many marketing courses
before and they were all very confusing,
frustrating, incomplete, outdated, and/or
misleading. They would often require even larger
investments. Not one ever helped much, if at all.
This is the first time in my life I have not been
disappointed and I also, for the first time
ever, feel very much like I am getting many times

Just listening to the latest buzz and you mention
about the link to hire authors. Just wondering if
you could provide some info on doing that. I find
that writing the articles the hardest thing to get
started and I know you always mention that and keep
motivating us to 'just do it'. But if there are
others out there that will help with this task that

exactly one year ago to do affiliate marketing as a
full time hobby now and it better than ever now. My

My husband has been a JM student for almost two years now and

July was a record month for me! Just above $US22k. Yesterday was
also a record day for me - it was 1.5x what one BC Hydro
paycheck would have been....those poor souls slaving away at
Hydro that perceive what I am doing is riskier than relying on a
job...several of them will be seeing layoff notices in the next
few months. We have sold our house and bought another - there
are still subjects to remove on both the sale and purchase but
if everything goes through we got above list price on our house
and will be moving to a new house which is currently being
built. The master bedroom is huge with a fireplace and huge tub
- hopefully this doesn't cause more babies :) There is also a
better layout for kids play area and work at home. I kept the
Rich Dad Poor Dad ideas in mind when buying a new house. I
avoided the temptation to get a huge liability - I had built a
few sites that were dedicated to a mortgage payment so I have an
asset already in place to offset my new liability. I'm really
loving this new lifestyle - new car - new house and trips to the
beach with my daughter whenever I feel like it. Thanks again for

this week. My affiliate revenue is now close to $2000 a month.
I'm still not at my $5000/month goal (which I've now raised to
$10,000), but I'm getting there. But $2000 is enough to live on
while I focus full time on expanding this business. Meeting both
of you at the CJU conference was really a turning point. Thank

to let you know I got my very first commissionable
sale yesterday. $11.00 through CJ. Don't spend it
all in one place, right? :-) I started in Feb. of
this year, so you called it right when you said to

4 months exactly for me. And I actually have earned
over $100 from Google AdSense, but this is my actual

As of Sept 12 affiliate marketing has surpassed what my job will
pay for the entire month. Last month I surpassed my job income
on the 22nd...It just keeps getting better and better. My debt
is disappearing faster than I ever imagined possible. What I had
figured would take 2 years to pay off has been paid in 2
months!!! This is simply incredible...the next step is saving a
base of cash in the bank shortly followed by never working for a
paycheck again. July's total: slightly less than what my job
pays. August's total: slightly less than double what my job
pays. September: Looking like it will be slightly less than

How wonderful it is to receive the new 2005 manual

I know your always going on trips so thought you might
get a kick out of this. Only someone who does what
we do would get a kick out of looking at a building
with a sign on it. I spent the weekend in Silicon
Valley, what a trip that was. Seeing in person
Yahoo, Google, Oracle, Ebay, Apple, HP...etc, etc.
...walking through Stanford University and seeing
where all the venture capitol firms are ...
conveniently right next to the campus ... basically
seeing where everything started and where it all
happens ... for me it added the actual mass to all
the stuff I look at every day on the computer ... it
was really cool. Also, here's a picture of the
Porsche I was able to buy thanks to affiliate
marketing ... with my construction truck parked
right next to it ... in the paper for sale. Best,

have read it through several times but as of yet I have not put
it into action. To my surprise I saw just recently that you put
out a link to download the new 2005 version of the book. I did
download it and again I am going through it with a fine tooth

updates are very timely and do answer questions I had from the
old version of the book. Reading the new book has re-inspired me

Thanks James, but I have already purchased your ebook
before the weekend. As it was a Bank Holiday here in
England. I spent the time printing the book out and
getting "organized" as you suggested. Very
impressed. It is so good to read a book written
by somebody who has "done it and continues to
practice what they preach". Well done excellent
value for money. But then Alan Gardyne only
recommends good material. If he says it is good it
invariably is worth reading . Unlike so much
material that is out there at the moment published
by 18 year old "Gurus" who have only days
experience, producing work of no substance at all.

just follow the baby steps, and don't question the

The interview with Bronwyn has left me with two
important things to remember. One, that a regular
"non-guru" person can do it if she applies the
correct methods to her site building and promotion.
Two, that I should focus my efforts on just a few
proven methods - e.g. using PAD for back links.
I have been hearing and reading about so many tricks
and techniques that it's so difficult to determine

I very much enjoyed this interview with
Bronwyn. I would say the biggest thing I took away
from this interview, is the fact that a site could
be put up in March and be so successful in November.
I was also inspired by the story of someone who
would take out a second mortgage on her house and
then give herself a year to "do or die". This lady
has the guts of a river boat gambler. I realize that
Bronwyn is a good business person and would probably
be a success at anything she put her mind to. I also
realize that any one of us could duplicate this
success if we are only willing to do what she has
done. She's been kind enough to share exactly what
she's done. To sum it up I was inspired by

I found the interview HIGHLY effective. I
always appreciate it when James will ask the person
he is interviewing to reiterate certain points, and
in some cases request concrete real life examples
of how certain techniques are performed. The
interview with Bronwyn was particularly helpful in
this manner. Sometimes I need a visual perspective
so that I may grasp the concept thoroughly. I want
to make sure that I have the correct "mental
model" of how the technique is performed. I find
that his interview process reinforces the proper
"mental model" of how to go about executing various
techniques. So far the Coffee Talks have been well

point. My story is very much like hers so far,
having the fortune to meet you both at bootcamp,
building a site, and watching it mature. Just a
few weeks ago I received my first page ranking of 4
on my site. Woohoo! I'm hoping now that things
will pick up and my success will increase. Hearing
Bronwyn's successes AND failures have both been
equally important to me, giving me direction and

I found it very informative and a better
understanding of your role as a publisher i.e.
what to do - signing up with a merchant and your
role with them. Also the different routes to take
when you advertise and what works for you as a
person. I would like to see where you can go to see
examples of other people's affiliate sites that are
successful to get an idea when putting your site
together so that you know your on the right path -
its not for copying just to see what they have done

Hi James: I just listened to your 'interview' and
found it very interesting. There were things
brought to light that would probably not be
addressed in the "buzz" sessions because they were
so specific. Sometimes, this type of information is
required to get you thinking 'specific' rather than
'general'. For example, placing ads on your page.
Most times I simply try to find pertinent ads and
place them most often at the end of the page where
the 'merchant links' section was originally set up
in the template. But as was mentioned, you need to
think about how the 'power marketers' are doing
things. As well, some of the information was a
re-iteration of your concepts - in someone else's
words. This adds credence to your concept. I look

interviewing style. 1. You ask a question, then
let the interviewee answer without interruption.
Perhaps interjecting only to clarify a point. 2. You
don't put words into the mouth of the interviewee.
3. You don't repeat what the interviewee just said.
4. You don't assume aloud what the interviewee is
about to share, thereby requiring said interviewee
to correct you. I'm really excited about this
